Wedding Makeup Tips And Trends

Wedding Makeup Tips And Trends

Brides fret about everything - wanting each and every detail to be perfect, and make up is no exception. If you're not sure what look to go for on the big day, then why not take some ideas of the trends that are hot for the upcoming weddings in 2013.
One of the biggest trends in 2013 is the nude look - making it look like you're not wearing any make up, but at the same time you look flawless. This no makeup-makeup look focuses on making skin look flawless as if it were entirely au natural. The trick is to highlight your best facial features with a bit of light contouring. The palette used consists of warm and natural tones, and it does actually use quite a bit of makeup on the face, but the blend of it makes the skin completely nude. This is a great look for modern brides with great skin and good bone structure.
If you're not comfortable to go all-naked, then you can take the new classy look of focusing on one feature only. Gone are the days of strong eyes, lips and well-contoured cheeks of the 80s, now the new in is taking your best feature and making the most of it. So if you have beautiful lips then highlight them and minimize the rest. Beautiful eyes? Show them off, but keep the rest of the face toned down with nude or pale pink lips and barely there blush. This is an elegant and understated look, and guaranteed to be popular with brides in 2013. This is great for brides who like makeup but are looking for a contemporary look that will get them noticed.
For those lovely ladies in white who want something a little bolder, then the smoky eye look is hot right now. The great thing about smoky eyes is that the possibilities are endless and there are so many unique looks you can create. No need for the heavy, gothic blacks and grays, 2013 is all about color. For a modern approach for smoky eyes then opt for the more unconventional greens, purples or even blue. You can get smoky eyes with a colorful palette rather than going for the darker shades such as black. This is a wonderful look for brides who are full of confidence and want to make a strong statement.
2013 offers a wide variety of looks from the understated nudes, to the smoky eyed divas, meaning that each bride can find their perfect palette.

Black Skin Care Products

By Charlotte Howard

Black Skin Care Products

At first we might be tempted to think that all skin is the same, just a different color. And that is true, to a point. Most skin will have similar attributes and issues. Three of the most common are dry skin, oily skin, and damaged skin. These can occur on any color of skin. But it is also true that black skin has different characteristics. To best care for these characteristics find black skin care products specifically for dark skin.
Black skin differs from white skin in a few specific ways. For one thing it does age more slowly than white skin due to the pigment which resists sun damage. But, just like white skin, black skin will get saggy with age so any product that can improve elasticity will be beneficial.
While it might seem odd to some people, even people with dark skin need to use sunscreen everyday. Sun is the number one factor in sun damage and premature aging of your skin. This is true no matter what color you are.
You should never go outside in the sun without wearing sunscreen. If you are going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time you should also wear a hat and other protective clothing.
Proper nutrition is also important if you want to keep your skin healthy. And again, this transcends race. Our bodies need the proper nutrition to maintain health, both on the inside and on the outside. If you want healthy skin make sure you give your body all the nutrients it needs to stay healthy.
You also need to keep your body hydrated. Providing your body with at least eight glasses of water a day will help keep your body hydrated and your skin moisturized.
Now that you've taken care of the inside of your body, it's time to think about what products you need to apply to the outside of your body.
Many blacks have used products such as shea and cocoa butter for their skin care needs. You have to be careful though that these products aren't overly processed. They work best in their natural, raw state and if they are processed they will lose a lot of their effectiveness.
When you are on the hunt for skin care products there are a few things you need to keep in mind. For one thing what type of skin do you have? Is your skin overly dry? Do you suffer from oily skin and have frequent, and possibly severe, acne outbreaks? Or maybe you're one of the 'lucky ones' who has combination skin.
Make sure you know what your unique skin care requirements are and look for products that can address those unique needs.

Effective Skin Care in Winter

Effective Skin Care in Winter

Winters signify celebrations, events and long beautiful evening walks. Watching the snow fall with a warm coffee cup adds up to the flavors of winter. However nothing in the world is without its odds and similar is the case with cold weather. As soon as the winter arrives, the skin loses its glow and becomes quite fade. Cool dry breeze also causes a severe skin problem namely eczema in which the skin becomes inflamed with a worse feeling of itchiness all over the skin.
Skin damage is a very sensitive issue particularly for females. Proactively dealing with the skin issues can save you from the intricate skin problems. The cosmetic companies offer an assortment of skin care and skin repair products with varying ingredients. There are also many home remedies for protecting your skin from the winter odds.
Here are some useful tips that work well against all the commonly observed skin issues:
1. Improving humidity levels:
During winter lack of humidity is the main problem in the centrally heated homes. The lack of humidity can cause your skin to become cracked and damaged. Installation of a proper humidifier from a reliable vendor can resolve this issue. You can also use homemade humidifiers like placing a boiling water pan, spraying curtains or drying the wet clothes in the living room. Maintaining a good humidity level your home is always good for skin care.
2. Drinking adequate water:
In winter, water intake is reduced greatly as compared to the summer season. This is due to the fact that the feeling of thirst reduces to a great extent. However water plays a major role in skin repair and acts as an excellent skin moisturizer. Therefore, one must not ignore the importance of water as a very successful and cost effective solution for skin problems.
3. Using skin moisturizers:
Effective moisturizers possess the ability to remove the dead cells on your skin and remove dryness efficiently. Every skin care moisturizer has different application techniques which are clearly mentioned on the product. You can also apply almond or coconut oil as a substitute of any expensive skin moisturizing lotion after taking showers.
4. Using Sunscreens:
Some people think that sunscreen use is only restricted to summers; however, you must use effective sun block in winters for skin care as well as skin repair. Normally a sunscreen of SPF 15 is recommended for people having an oily skin. Consulting with your family dermatologist can assist you greatly in making a sunscreen purchase decision.
5. Taking a nutritious diet:
Along with the external application of various skin care creams, it is also essential to take nutritious food. It must be combination of juicy fruits as well as healthy foodstuff offering plenty of vitamin A and D. Eating plenty of green salads in raw form can prove to be an excellent source of fresh healthy skin.
6. Avoiding lengthy showers:
Hot water has diverse effects on skin and it can cause severe damage to the hair as well as skin. Therefore, it is very important that you avoid taking long showers. Using lukewarm water instead of very hot water can save the natural oils of your skin. Skin care in a winter is not a difficult task; all it requires are some small tips to make your skin in a natural condition.
7. Using Lip Balms:
Lips are subject to a lot of dryness and cracks in the winter season. Some people are in the habit of licking the dry lips which tends to worsen the situation. Always remember to purchase a good quality lip balm to make your lips in a healthier state.
8. Using Vaseline to Sooth Heels:
Vaseline is astounding for inflamed heals during winter. Simply apply large quantities of Vaseline before wearing your socks. Also use shoes with thick soles to ease your feet during the harsh weather.
9. Minimizing Hair Dryers usage:
If your hair are already thin, weak and dry it is better to avoid the usage of Hair dryers. Switch to the cool drying option if you have to attend any occasion urgently and could not manage your wet hair.

Developing Good Skin Care Habits

By Dr. Farid Mostamand

Developing Good Skin Care Habits

It is amazing how as we grow older we are so much wiser - about what we should or should not eat or what we should do about our skin and should have done years earlier when we were in our teens. The reality is that if we had started sooner to take care of our skin correctly, we would not be dealing with skin that looks older than we are.
Because we didn't take care of it properly all those years ago, we are fighting the battle of trying to remedy a situation that is out of control and in some cases cannot be won. All it takes is a little discipline and we all can still have skin that looks younger than our age if we just take care of it properly. But the important lesson here is that we should teach our children to develop good skin care habits when they are young.
Start Habits Early
Good hygiene is one of the most important things a child or teenager can learn about keeping their skin healthier and younger looking. Cleansing the skin starts when a child learns to wash their hands and face and continues as they age so that it becomes a major part of their daily routine. Clean skin is essential particularly in keeping acne and blemishes and other skin conditions like Rosacea under control. Here are a few tips that should become a daily routine as you age:
Washing the face twice daily in the morning and evening and ensuring that a good yet gentle cleanser is used without scrubbing the skin but softly massaging it to remove dirt and grime that builds up. There are special cleansers for those with sensitive skin or for those with acne or oily skin so you should look for the product that does not irritate your skin.
Use of sunscreen is an essential that should continue throughout your life. As a child is often in the sun, sunscreen should be used not only on the face but on the exposed body as well to ensure that the child does not get sunburn. This should continue throughout your life especially for those with fair skin or skin that is very sensitive as it can cause other problems with too much exposure to the sun.
Avoid too much makeup as teenagers can easily clog up their pores that often lead to acne or an outbreak of blemishes. Makeup and other cosmetics can contain harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin especially if it is sensitive so care should be taken with the type of makeup that is used and also ensure that a minimal amount is applied so that it is not caked on. Use makeup that is labeled as noncomedogenic although if their skin is prone to acne it might not help.
Do not use sun tanning booths as they can be a health hazard that will deeply affect their skin later in life as it can cause skin cancer especially if used often. It is worse than sitting out in the sun without any sunscreen.
Shampoo the hair at least two to three times per week as hair follicles can also get clogged and cause blemishes to occur especially if it is constantly falling in your face so try to keep it away as much as possible.
